yotaphone2The Yotaphone 2 which has already gone through the paces over at the FCC a few days ago looks set to be released real soon, where we have also received word that it will launch through at least one major US carrier this year. Time has cleared up some doubts and questions, and it looks as though T-Mobile will be the one offering the Yotaphone 2 when it is primed and ready for a US release.

This bit of information hails from folks over at Android Authority, who cite that the YotaPhone 2 ought to be made available via T-Mobile channels some time this March or April. Pricing details have yet to be confirmed as at press time, but if the €699 sticker price in Europe were to be used as a benchmark (since the handset was released there late last year), it would not be too far off the mark to make a guesstimate of $700 thereabouts – unlocked, when it arrives Stateside.

Would you fork out $700 for this rather uniquely designed smartphone that comes with dual displays? It is a rather high price to pay, I will say this at the very least, but since it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat right out of the box, and with T-Mobile and their Un-carrier plans, it might end up being a decent alternative to those who want something different from the usual humdrum.
