There is no news in from Apple as yet about a media event this month. Recent rumors suggest that some of the products that will be released in the near future include a 12-inch iPad Pro and an entirely new MacBook model. It is unclear when these products will be formally announced. Apple usually doesn’t conduct media events to announce component refresh for existing notebooks, which is why it seems plausible that the 2015 MacBook Air refresh may indeed be announced in the near future.

In the past Apple has announced refreshed MacBook Air models with just a press release. The changes aren’t drastic. Last time around the refresh brought a price cut and Intel’s latest processors.

2015 won’t be any different it seems. According to letemsvetemapplem.eu the company is going to announce 2015 MacBook Air refresh on February 24th.

And if it does make this announcement we shouldn’t expect to see any major changes except new processors, RAM and storage upgrades. No changes will be made to the overall design of the notebook.

The rumor doesn’t claim if Apple is going to further reduce the price of its MacBook Air models. It did so last year, and with rumors of an entirely new MacBook circling around, would it makes sense for Apple to further reduce prices of the Air lineup?

We’ll have to wait and see.
