acer-logo-largeIt goes without saying that many people who are interested in the smartphone scene would definitely look forward to the upcoming Mobile World Congress that is set to happen early next month – and it seems that Acer is all set to roll out a spanking new Windows 10-powered smartphone at MWC 2015. That, and in addition to a spanking new Android-powered Jade handset, too.

Granted, it is not as though Acer would shake heaven and earth each time there is a new smartphone announcement being made, but in the past few years, Acer has rolled out their fair share of smartphones, with the majority of them running on Android as the mobile operating system of choice, although there are a few Windows Mobile handsets being pushed out from time to time, too, prior to Windows Phone taking over.

Success was not really high on the list, but it seems that Acer intends to give it another shot later this year with a Windows 10 handset. Focus Taiwan claims that Acer is behind its maiden Windows 10 smartphone outing at MWC 2015, and there is still no word on pricing, availability, and most importantly, the hardware specifications within. Ah well, this is one of those cases where patience certainly is a virtue!
