htc-desire-626-2Just because HTC’s Desire handsets don’t feature the same metal build quality like the HTC One series, it doesn’t mean that they are a slouch either. For example the recently announced HTC Desire 626 has some pretty decent specs, and if you’re in the market for an affordable handset, then the rumored HTC A53 might be worth checking out.

According to @upleaks, HTC is said to be working on a handset called the A53, although we’re not sure if this is the codename or the actual name of the handset itself. However according to the rumor specs, the handset appears to pack some decent specs under its hood, such as a MediaTek MT6795 8-core 64-bit processor.

It is also rumored to come with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, a 13MP rear-facing camera, a possible 13MP/4MP UltraPixel front-facing camera, and will come with Android 5.0 and Sense 7.0 installed. Unfortunately that’s all the information that @upleaks managed to provide so as to battery size or display size/resolution, those are still pretty much up in the air at the moment.

Either way take it with a grain of salt for now, but HTC has an event that they will be hosting at MWC 2015 on the 1st of March where presumably the HTC One M9 will be announced, so hopefully more information about the rumored HTC A53 and the HTC One M8i will be revealed then.
