apple-iwatch-front-uiIt is understandable why Apple and Apple fans and investors are looking forward to the Apple Watch. The company has been releasing products in the same categories for years and with the Apple Watch, it is basically new territory for the Cupertino company that could either prove to be a huge success or a huge flop.

This is why it does not come as a surprise to learn that Apple could be directly lending a helping hand to developers to assist in the creation of Apple Watch specific apps. According to a recent report from 9to5Mac, they have heard from their sources that Apple has invited several developers over to the company’s Cupertino offices to assist in polishing up their apps for the wearable.

One of 9to5Mac’s sources even told them that Apple had held workshops for over 100 developers during the month of February, and that the company had also met up with smaller developers to assist in WatchKit development and to discuss potential future plans. The developers Apple invited include developers of sports apps, productivity apps, and financial apps which Apple is said to be meeting with banks to assist on Apple Pay functionality.

This seems to be in line with a report from last month in which it was suggested that Apple has been asking developers to have their apps ready and compatible by mid-February. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but without doubt the Apple Watch will be a huge launch for Apple and we can’t wait to see how it all goes down.
