teslawatchIt goes without saying that there is plenty of anticipation surrounding the upcoming Apple Watch, where we have even heard on the absurdity of a real gold Apple Watch being sold, although those would be stashed away in a special safe in Apple Stores simply because they are so valuable. Well, since Apple espouses the fact that “there’s an app for that”, how about controlling your Tesla electric car using the Apple Watch when the latter arrives?

Apparently, a software-development company has come up with a clever app for the yet to be released Apple Watch, touting that it would empower Tesla car owners with the ability to control their rides – selective controls, at least, from the comfort of their Apple Watch. This is definitely a high tech method of controlling your car, but taking into consideration how Tesla rides are not cheap, I would pretty much prefer to remain behind the wheel itself and control the car from there, thank you very much.

The app for Apple Watch hails from software development company ELEKS, where it will boast of multiple screens which can be accessed by swiping the watch’s face from side to side. This app will also keep track of the Tesla’s battery life and remaining range, track down the car’s location, lock and unlock the doors, sound the horn, operate the lights, open and close the sunroof – not to mention to adjust passenger and driver temperatures. At least you need not drive from the app itself, which would be a very dangerous proposition.
