benq f52BenQ might not necessarily be a brand thinks of when it comes to smartphones or mobile devices for that matter. Computers, laptops, monitors, maybe, but mobile devices? Not so much. That being said it seems that the company is planning on making an announcement at MWC 2015 and launch their flagship smartphone.

The smartphone in question comes in the form of the BenQ F52 and will be displayed by Chinese carrier Cheetah Mobile at their booth during the event. As far as its hardware is concerned, the phone does come with some pretty decent specs although it is really nothing to shout about, especially when you consider the other advancements more prominent OEMs have made.

The BenQ F52 will feature a 5.2-inch Full HD 1920×1080 display. Under the hood, a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset can be found, which is actually a nice touch, along with 3GB of RAM. There will be 16GB of onboard storage that can be expanded via microSD, and the phone will come with a 13MP rear-facing camera featuring a Sony IMX214 sensor, and an 8MP front-facing camera.

The phone will support 4G LTE connectivity and will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop and will be preloaded with some of Cheetah Mobile’s applications. Pricing and availability remain unknown for now, but chances are we might not see the phone launch outside of China, at least for the time being.
