google-vietnam-lizard-squadThe hacking consortium known as Lizard Squad definitely holds a rather high profile, where they have had their fair share of run-ins in the past with high profile targets. This time around, it looks as though folks over at Google Vietnam were the ones to have the “privilege” of being graced by Lizard Squad – and this happened after Lizard Squad successfully poisoned the DNS to google.com.vn, resulting in Google Vietnam being knocked offline for a certain period of time. Of course, Google Vietnam is now up and running, but not before a growing number of angry Vietnamese voiced their displeasure where the hack is concerned.

How did Lizard Squad claim responsibility on this particular hack? Well, through on one of their Twitter accounts, where they did ask folks whether Google Vietnam happened to carry a different look. There were plenty of NSFW replies to the announcement, but thankfully, everything is running just fine at the moment as regular service has already resumed.

There was no particular reason cited by the Lizard Squad for this hack of Google Vietnam, and chances are this will be far from their last exploit. Who do you think will Lizard Squad train their cross hairs on in the future?
