htc-logoThere have been rumors that the HTC One M9 could get a Windows Phone variant. After all HTC did that with the HTC One M8 for Windows, so why won’t the One M9 get the same treatment, right? Unfortunately if you were hoping that HTC would make that announcement at MWC 2015, you would be disappointed.

A recent tweet by @upleaks has revealed that the HTC HimaW (which is the Windows Phone version of the One M9) will not be debuting at MWC 2015. Unfortunately we’re not sure when this particular handset would be announced if it even exists at all, but we guess we won’t be hearing about it at HTC’s MWC event.

@upleaks goes on to state that the handset will be a Windows 10-powered phone and that it would be made available only the US, which is actually rather unfortunate news for those who are hoping that they would be able to get their hands on it overseas, however given that this is just a rumor for now, you should probably take it with a grain of salt.

HTC will be hosting an event on the 1st of March where the One M9 is expected to make its debut. It is also when HTC is rumored to announce their wearable which could come in the form of a fitness band. Either way do check back with us at a later date for the details.
