Hulu today launched a new feature called Watchlist that is designed to make it easier for users to follow their favorite shows. Its basically a favorites list that can be populated with any and all content that users are following on the streaming service. Watchlist is a bit different from the Stuff You Watch feature which updates with content that users have viewed recently, it is also different from Queue in which users can store shows to watch later. There’s already a Favorites feature available on Hulu in which one can leave shows and movies to follow up on at another time.

With Watchlist Hulu has taken the best aspects of these features and merged them into one. It calls Watchlist a smarter place to keep track of content thus providing users with an easier and more personalized experience which is available across all of their devices.

Any episode, clip, movie or show can be added to the Watchlist by clicking the “+” button on PCs or iOS devices or the “add to Watchlist” button on consoles, connected TVs, set-top boxes and Android devices. Once users start watching a new show future episodes are automatically added to their Watchlist.

The feature offers a more personalized experience by prioritizing shows that have new episodes or shows that the user is binging on. The more it is used the smarter it gets.

Watchlist is currently accessible on Hulu.com, iOS and Android devices, the Apple TV, Roku players and Roku TV models as well as the PS3, Amazon Fire TV and even the latest smart TVs and Blu-ray players from Samsung.

Over the next few months this feature will be rolled out for other supported devices as well.
