galaxy-s6-metal-teaser

It has long been rumored that Samsung is going to move away from plastic and use metal instead for its flagship devices. Now there is an increasing amount of evidence which points to the possibility that Samsung is doing exactly that with the Galaxy S6. Even if you pay no mind to the plethora of Galaxy S6 renders that have appeared online take a look at some of the latest teasers from Samsung itself which give a clear indication that metal will feature prominently in its next flagship smartphone.

Samsung recently uploaded a picture on its official Instagram account showing what most likely is its next generation flagship smartphone. The device is shown in profile with a very slim design on top of a background that clearly hints at metal.

Then there’s a teaser that the company uploaded on YouTube. The narrator in the video says “Metal will flow,” yet another hint at finally Samsung is going with a metal design for the next generation Galaxy S smartphone.

The downside to using metal will probably be the non-removable battery we keep hearing about, however it is expected to support wireless charging straight out of the box, so that’s certainly a plus.

Samsung will reveal all of the details officially on March 1st as Mobile World Congress 2015 kicks off.
