lava-winq1000Now here is a smartphone that you might want to consider picking up if you so happen to fall under all of the following three criterias – one, if you so happen to live in India, two, being a Windows Phone 8.1 user, and last but not least, happen to be working on a shoestring budget. Having said that, Lava of India has decided to refresh their Xolo range of smartphones with a spanking new Windows Phone 8.1 handset, which will be known as the Xolo Win Q1000.

The Xolo Win Q1000 will apparently retail for INR 8,499, and when converted, it will roughly cost $137 thereabouts, although there is no concrete word on its availability as at press time. Underneath the hood of the Xolo Win Q1000, you will find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 SoC with a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and Adreno 302 GPU working alongside, a 5” IPS display at 720 x 1280 resolution and 294 PPI pixel density, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes, and dual SIM capability – something newer handsets seem to support these days.

In front lies a 2MP camera, while at the back there is an 8MP camera that does all the heavy lifting. The Xolo Win Q1000 will be powered by a 2,200mAh battery and will measure all of just 143mm x 71.3mm x 8.8mm.
