lg-optimus-g-pro-attThe LG Optimus G Pro is by no means the newest handset in the market, but since it is pretty high end at the time when it was released, one would have expected that it would qualify for an Android 5.0 Lollipop update. Waiting for that update seemed to be an eternity, at least until now, where it has finally arrived officially over in South Korea.

Hence, with this particular bit of news, it would mean that there is hope for other LG Optimus G Pro owners worldwide, as this would more often than not mean that other parts of the world will eventually receive the new Android 5.0 Lollipop update in due time.

This is certainly a welcome (and timely) addition, especially when you take into consideration that the LG Optimus G Pro arrived with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean right out of the box. The Optimus G Pro also holds the distinction of being the last flagship from LG that will make use of the “Optimus” brand where handsets are concerned, and at the same time, it proved to be the first phablet from the company that came with a 5.5” 1080 x 1920 pixel display. Well, you know what they say – better late than never!
