You know those cool wuxia movies that feature martial arts masters who are able to jump to seemingly impossible heights, not to mention being able to know where all of their chi points are so that they can heal from potentially fatal wounds? Well, there were also some instances of a blindfolded martial arts exponent, using skill, guile and technique to overcome his or her opponents, too. How does that apply to the world of video games? Well, as you can see in the video above, there was a blindfolded run through Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out! which ended up as a success, of course.

Gamer Jack Wedge did mention that in order to pull off this achievement, there were a number of difficulties involved. After all, the game’s final boss, Mike Tyson himself, is notoriously difficult as attacks are launched randomly. Still, Wedge managed to emerge the victor, boasting of an undefeated run throughout the entire game’s roster, and it culminated with a three-round decision over Kid Dynamite himself.

This version of Punch-Out!! was played a Wii via emulation, and Wedge did claim that he intends to make another attempt – this time around on a console, “as [soon] I get my NES and Tyson cart back.”
