android-5.0-lollipop

It was never denied that the first-generation Moto G isn’t going to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, the company just didn’t say when we can expect this update to arrive on the smartphone. Now though it is providing us with a timeframe in which we can expect the Moto G Android 5.0 Lollipop update release. It is really not too far off as the update is said to arrive over the next couple of weeks.

Motorola has been particularly quick with the Lollipop update for its devices. The second-generation Moto G actually became the first OEM device to receive the Lollipop update.

The company has sent out notifications to some Moto G users notifying them that it is preparing the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the first-generation Moto G.

Users are advised to ensure that they have the latest version of Motorola Update Services as they will not receive Lollipop if this step is incomplete.

Android 5.0 Lollipop will bring a host of new features for the original Moto G, including but not limited to Material Design inspired design, a new notifications experience, improved battery life and enhanced performance.

Motorola has not provided the precise release date as yet but given that its talking about weeks now it shouldn’t take too long for this update to arrive.
