Fans of the Hitman franchise have probably seen the original movie that was released in 2007. Some of you guys might have liked it, some of you guys might not, but regardless of how you felt about the movie, you might have heard that it was getting a reboot into a movie called Hitman: Agent 47. For those curious to see if it will be any good, the trailer for the movie has since been released.

Granted trailers can’t really tell us much about the show since they can be edited and spliced together to make a bad movie more interesting than it really is, but so far we have to admit that we like what we see so far. The movie stars Rupert Friend (you probably know him from Homeland) who plays the role of Agent 47 and Zachary Quinto (of Star Trek and Heroes fame).

Hitman: Agent 47 will be seeing a release later this year in August and for the sake of Hitman fans around the world, we can only hope that it will be good. There are several movies being made based on video game franchises, like the upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie and the Warcraft movie, both of which have been pegged for a 2016 release.

So far video game adaptations haven’t been particularly good, especially the Doom movie, so let’s hope that producers and directors have learnt from these flops and that no more franchises will be ruined in the future. So, did you like what you see?
