There are probably many veteran players of World of Warcraft who have created countless alts (characters that aren’t their main)  over the years. In the past few years, Blizzard has introduced Heirlooms which is basically gear and weapons that level up with you, meaning that players won’t need to keep finding new gear, at least until a certain level.

These Heirlooms also give players bonus XP, making it easier and faster to level up new characters with them, and are bound to account so that you can transfer them amongst your characters. Now if you love collecting items in games, you might be interested to learn that with Patch 6.1, level 1 players can get a mount through the Heirloom Hoarder achievement.

The achievement basically requires players to collect 35 pieces of Heirloom gear, after which they will be given the Chauffeured Chopper mount, which you can see for yourself in action in the video above. This means that vets who are leveling new characters won’t have to wait until level 20 before they can start riding around in their mounts, making it even faster for them to level up and get around.

Patch 6.1 is also expected to bring back Heirloom vendors into the main cities where gear can be bought for gold, versus the system right now where Heirlooms can either be bought from the Argent Tournament Grounds or the Darkmoon Faire.
