We have had our eye on Slight Mad Studios’ multi-format racing title Project Cars for quite some time now. Bandai Namco picked it up for full distribution last year and it was later revealed that Project Cars release has been scheduled for March 20th. Unfortunately the developer announced today that Project Cars release is being delayed, albeit only slightly.

This isn’t the first release delay for this title. It was first meant to be released in November last year but it was pushed back to March 20th. Today’s announcement pushes it back even further.

Ian Bell from Slightly Mad said that this delay wasn’t an easy decision to make considering how so many fans are eager to get their hands on this title.

“But we know that these extra days will allow us to provide the best game experience that our fans deserve,” says Bell, promising that the wait will certainly be worth it when the game finally launches.

Often dubbed the “most technically-advanced, beautiful, intense and authentic racing game,” Project Cars is now scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC on April 2nd, 2015.

It is supposed to be released for Wii U as well but a release date for that version was never confirmed before so it is unclear how this delay affects Project Cars arrival on Nintendo’s console.
