sony-smarteyeglass-app

With Glass, Google gave us a glimpse into what the future might look like, when all of us strap computers to our faces and go about our daily routines. However it seems like the public isn’t all that ready to accept that change right now which is why Glass has been taken back to the drawing board as it never made it to a public release. On the other hand Sony has continued with the development of its Glass rival and has now published the official SmartEyeglass companion app in the Google Play Store.

Its a fairly basic app with which users will be able to control various settings of the SmartEyeglass as well as use extensions for the wearable device.

Wearable devices often come with companion apps that allow them to hook up to a smartphone or a tablet so that users can control settings and what not.

Before users can get this app on their smartphone they will need to install Sony Smart Connect. SmartEyeglass companion app will not show up in the smartphone’s app list instead it will be accessible from the Smart Connect hub or through the notification area.

Obviously the app won’t serve any purpose until Sony’s SmartEyeglass is actually released. The company hasn’t confirmed as yet when this product will hit the market.
