samsung-galaxy-s5-review-024The Samsung Galaxy S5 has received its Android 5.0 Lollipop update in different parts of the world, but in North America where there is carrier approval, not all Galaxy S5 handsets have received their update yet. In fact it was only a couple of days ago that Verizon’s version of the Galaxy S5 received its Android 5.0 update.

Now the good news is that if you are the owner of Sprint variant of the Samsung Galaxy S5, you will be pleased to learn that the update for your handset has been scheduled for a release on the 5th of February. This means that come tomorrow, you should be able to look forward to the Android 5.0 Lollipop update.

There is a good chance that the update will be a staggered one so even if you don’t receive it tomorrow, you should be able to expect it in the next few days or weeks at most. In fact it’s actually interesting to see Verizon and Sprint beating out AT&T and T-Mobile to the updates, especially when you consider that CDMA carriers in the past have been a bit slow.

AT&T had only recently pushed out the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for the Galaxy S5, so hopefully they won’t take too long for the Android 5.0 update, but either way we will be keeping our eyes peeled for more information regarding its release.
