htc-one-review-m8-labshot-04Last month HTC announced, much to the dismay of many of its customers, that the carrier versions of the HTC One M7 and the One M8 would have their Android 5.0 Lollipop update delayed. Now we know that Sprint has rolled out the Android 5.0 update to the One M7 already, but what about the One M8?

The good news is that according to various user reports that the update has already begun to make its way onto the phone. Last we heard the update was actually scheduled for the 13th of February which is tomorrow, but for some reason Sprint has decided to release it today instead although we guess we can’t really complain about early releases.

The update is said to come in at 713.98MB which means that you’ll want to make sure that you’re connected to a WiFi network lest you burn through your data allowance. The update will bump your phone’s Android version to Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and will bring about all the new features expected from the update.

If you have yet to receive the update, fret not because we would expect that Sprint will be staggering the release and will be pushing it out batch by batch, so if you haven’t received it yet, chances are you should be able to get your hands on it in the next few days or later in the week. In the meantime any of our readers receive their update yet?
