samsung logo 5According to an earlier rumor, it was suggested that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6 could have wireless charging as one of its features, and it looks like that particular feature has been confirmed by Samsung themselves. In a recent blog post on Samsung’s website, Samsung basically wrote about how wireless charging should be an industry standard.

The post went on to describe some of the benefits of wireless charging and it was this particular line that caught the attention of some. Samsung wrote, “With our upcoming Galaxy smartphones, users will be able to enter a new wireless world like never before.” If this doesn’t sound like a confirmation of wireless charging for the Galaxy S6, we don’t know what is.

However as we had mentioned previously, there were some concerns regarding wireless charging especially since the Galaxy S6 has been rumored to feature a metal body in which metal would not play nicely with the magnetic induction wireless charging, but we guess we will have to wait for the officially unveiling to see what Samsung has come up with.

So far what we do know about the handset is that it will feature an intelligent camera that will do well in low-light settings, and now we also know that wireless charging will be one of its features. MWC 2015 is only a couple of weeks away, so be sure to check back with us then for the official details!
