ysl glassThe first-generation of Google Glass has been pretty much canned. Last we heard, the project has since been passed on to Tony Fadell, a former Apple executive and now the CEO of Nest (which was acquired by Google). We had also heard that Fadell had plans to redesign the next Google Glass from scratch and not even offer it up as a public beta.

That being said despite all of this, there is still plenty of life and uses left for those who already own Google Glass, such as over in Australia where luxury fashion label Yves Saint Laurent has taken advantage of Google Glass to help give makeovers to people who want/need them. The fashion label has teamed up with retail stores David Jones and Myers in both Sydney and Melbourne.

How this works is that the stylist who is giving you a makeover will wear Google Glass and record you while you get your makeover. The idea is that through the recording process, customers will have a better idea of what the stylist did so that when they are home, they will be able to recreate the same look for themselves instead of having to guess.

The videos will also come with tips and step-by-step instructions so that customers will be able to rewatch these videos whenever they want.
