iphone_tim_cookEvery year with every iPhone Apple has released, they have managed to sell millions upon millions to the masses, but exactly how many units has Apple managed to sell so far? Earlier today during Apple’s Spring Forward event, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook took to the stage where he revealed that the Cupertino company has managed to sell a whopping 700 million iPhones to date.

It was also revealed that they managed to sell 25 million Apple TVs so far and given that the Apple TV was given a price cut and with HBO Now being an exclusive to Apple devices, we can only imagine that they will be able to sell even more units of the Apple TV, even though there were some features that many were looking forward to but was not announced.

Apple had also boasted during their announcement that despite the industry only growing 25% year over year, Apple’s own iPhone business has managed to grow 49% year over year and we reckon the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus probably had something to do with that. The larger displays, battery, Apple Pay, and all probably contributed to the demand of the company’s phones.

Of course it remains to be seen if Apple will be able to maintain their momentum in the coming years especially with companies like Samsung entering the market with more premium smartphones, but either way 700 million iPhones sold is still rather impressive.
