macbookairsysteminfo-800x586If the rumors are to be believed, we might be able to look forward to Apple announcing their new Retina MacBook Airs at the event on the 9th of March, but could the event also play host to Apple’s refreshment of their existing MacBook Air lineup? Well if a recent screenshot is anything to go by, the answer is yes.

A new screenshot has surfaced which allegedly shows off the specs of Apple’s upcoming hardware refresh for the 13-inch MacBook Air. According to the screenshot, it shows the device running on an Intel Core i5-5250U processor clocked at 1.6GHz, along with an Intel HD 6000 GPU which so far has been pretty impressive for gamers who are looking for an above average mobile GPU experience.

The spec list also shows that the laptop will come with 4GB of RAM and it appears that Apple will be keeping the resolution of the laptop to 1440×900 as opposed to bumping it up to at least a Full HD resolution, but we suppose the lower resolution will help with its battery life which appears to be similar to the previous 13-inch MacBook Air model.

Given that Apple last refreshed the MacBook Air in April of last year, we suppose this is as good a time as any to refresh the hardware at this time in the year. Whether or not it will be a public announcement or just an update to the Apple Online Store remains to be seen, so check back with us then for the details.
