Amazon is gradually expanding its one-hour delivery service. The online retail giant announced today that Amazon Prime Now is live in Dallas. Just last week the service was expanded to Baltimore and Miami. Amazon Prime Now was launched in December last year and initially it was only available in parts of Manhattan. The service was later expanded to cover all of Manhattan and certain parts of Brooklyn.

Amazon Prime Now is accessed through a dedicated app which instantly lets customers purchase thousands of “daily essentials” for delivery in one hour.

The ultra-fast delivery service is another perk for Amazon Prime members who pay $99 per year for free two-day shipping, access to Amazon’s movie, music and TV show catalog as well as free cloud storage and more.

Starting today Prime Now can be used in select Dallas-area zip codes. Amazon says that it will “expand rapidly” into additional zip codes in Dallas and surrounding areas in the very near future.

Prime Now will be available seven days a week from 8 am to 10 pm. Two hour delivery is free. Customers who want delivery in one hour will have to pay $7.99.

In its press release Amazon reiterates its commitment to bring Prime Now to more cities in 2015.
