X-Men: Apocalypse

X-Men director, Bryan Singer knows pretty well how to tease fans on social media, he has done it yet again with X-Men: Apocalypse. Singer posted the image (above) on his Instagram account, which confirms the presence of the character Angel in the upcoming movie.

As we remember, Ben Foster essayed the role of Angel in the X-Men: The Last Stand. It has been long since we have seen the character appearing again on the screen, but after the Days Of Future Past, which considerably shortened the series’ timeline, It seems like the character is all set for another appearance on the silver screen.

The image posted by Singer is a concept art, in which Angel appears to be trapped in some sort of cage in front of the crowd. The scene depicts distorted alternate reality of the Age of Apocalypse comics. In the comics, Angel gradually turns into one of Apocalypse’s four “Horsemen” after Apocalypse substitutes his lost wings with razor sharp metal wings, which turn him into “Archangel.”

X-Men comic fans will surely decode what the image of Angel trapped in a cage means, but ComicBookMovie.com has pointed out that, ”Could that be an early Mr. Sinister conducting it? Who knows, but in a movie with Apocalypse, Angel not being included would have been a big mistake. Here’s hoping we get to see him become Archangel…”

We got to wait and watch what the movie has in store for us. As of now, we don’t even have a clue about who will play the role of Angel in the movie or whether the character is actually in the movie. The movie X-Men: Apocalypse is due for release on May 2016.
