apertureAs some of you guys have heard by now, Apple will soon be putting an end to support for Aperture. Instead Apple will choose to focus on their upcoming Photos for OS X which is expected to launch this spring. Now if you’re worried that Photos for OS X will not be powerful enough for your editing needs, you can still go ahead and purchase Aperture.

However Apple has recently sent out a reminder email warning customers that Aperture will no longer be available for purchase once Photos for OS X launches, meaning that you’ve got from now until spring to make your purchase. However like we said, Apple will no longer be supporting Aperture so if you’re looking for additional updates or new features beyond the current version, we’re sorry to say that what you’re getting now is what you’ll be stuck with.

Photos for OS X will sort of be a happy middle between iPhotos and Aperture where it will have some editing capabilities but nothing overly fancy or complicated. Then again depending on your needs, the current build of Aperture could be enough, but if you’re a hardcore user or a professional, maybe you’ll want to look into other photo editing and post-processing softwares instead, such as Adobe Lightroom.
