Apple’s “Spring Forward” event is just a few hours away. At the event the company is going to formally announce pricing and availability details for the Apple Watch, and talk more about its features. Apple is expected to make changes to its retail stores in order to incorporate this entirely new product. The company may also sell this product through other major fashion outlets like Nordstrom.

Reuters reports that Apple is talking to Nordstrom to work out an arrangement which will see the Apple Watch being sold by the fashion retailer. Similar fashion retailers like Barney’s, Bloomingdales and Saks 5th Avenue reportedly have no immediate plans to carry the Apple Watch.

These retailers already sell luxury watches, particularly those made by Swiss manufacturers, and since Apple wants people to view this product as more of a fashion accessory it makes sense for the company to want the Apple Watch in these stores.

For its part Nordstrom is not yet confirming whether it will carry the Apple Watch. Even Target, a massive retail chain, has declined to comment on the possibility if it will sell Apple’s smartwatch.

Since Apple is going to reveal details about pricing and availability today perhaps it might also reveal during the event later today if any major fashion outlets will also be selling the Apple Watch.
