Amazon today announced the expansion of its one-hour delivery service called Amazon Prime Now. The service was launched in December last year and initially it was only available in parts of Manhattan. It was later expanded to cover all of Manhattan and some parts of Brooklyn. Today the company confirmed that Amazon Prime Now is going to bring one-hour deliveries to Baltimore and Miami.

Through the Amazon Prime Now service shoppers can order thousands of products that include toys, paper towels, diapers and more through the standalone Prime Now app. Two-hour deliveries are free. One-hour deliveries will only be available in certain ZIP costs and will cost $8.

Prime Now is a part of Amazon Prime, the $99 per year package from Amazon, which provides free two day shipping apart from access to Prime Instant Video, a video streaming service that has a huge library of content, Prime Music and many other services.

Amazon’s expansion of Prime Now is in effect. The service will be available to customers in supported cities from 8 am to 10 pm throughout the week. Amazon is going to expand the service to more markets this year but in the near future Prime Now will become available in more parts of Baltimore and Miami.
