The Battlefield franchise and the Call of Duty franchise has been going on for quite some time now, and if you’re a bit bored of playing military-styled games, Battlefield Hardline might be of interest to you, and the good news is that if you have been eyeing the game ever since it was announced early last year, you will be pleased to learn that the game will be released today.

The game will be launched across multiple platforms which includes last-gen consoles like the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and will also be launched on their successors like the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. PC gamers will also be pleased to learn that the game will be launch on the Windows platform so if you haven’t checked out the game’s hardware specifications yet, you should probably go ahead and do so.

Meanwhile as for console gamers, Visceral has confirmed the resolution and framerates that gamers can expect. The game will run at 720p for the Xbox One and 900p for the PlayStation 4, although thankfully both consoles can expect the game to run at a smooth 60fps, so if you’re not a stickler for resolution then we suppose this is good news too.

Battlefield Hardline will not be a military-inspired game, but will instead be more of a cops and robbers kind of deal which is admittedly rather refreshing. If you have yet to get your hands on the game you can do so by heading on over to the Battlefield website, or check out the launch trailer above to get an idea of what to expected.
