eye-drawingThe skill of drawing comes in different forms – some people are pretty good at sketching portraits, while others are superb at architectural pieces, with others still focussing on the likes of comics. The common denominator would be the use of one’s hand – either left or right, but to draw using your eyes? That is definitely something which is out of the ordinary for sure. A recent exhibition known as Drawing With My Eyes saw artist Graham Fink come up with portraits using only his eyes. Of course, this was made possible only with the help of a certain kind of software as well as a whole lot of concentration.

After all, Fink had to work with a specially developed software for an eye-tracker, enabling him to draw by looking at a screen. It will require a pair of infrared lights that shine into each eye, and the reflection of this movement will subsequently be recorded via a camera, which are then sent through algorithms which slow the natural oscillation of Fink’s eye, transforming what would have been a shaky line into a far smoother result.

All of the portraits are drawn in a single, continuous line, similar to that of an Etch-A-Sketch sans the shake-to-erase feature, of course.
