fb-new-placeThere is no doubt about it, that moving into a new building is always an exciting experience. After all, there is the smell of new paint to look forward to (not everyone would agree with me), in addition to spanking new furniture. The new Facebook building has something special, where approximately 70 feet above from the ground floor, one would be able to take a lovely walk through all nine acres of greenery. This particular walkway would be located right above the marshlands of Menlo Park, California, and the half mile loop should offer enough space for one to think – and who knows, come up with the next big thing for the social network?

This new building was designed by Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry, and it was completed not too long ago. Facebook moved into the building officially over the weekend, where the structure itself has been given the name MPK 20, moving a fair number of employees from its current campus all the way to the other side of California’s Highway 84.

The entire new building would have 430,000 square feet of space in total, and it looks set to be one of the new standard bearers, with Apple’s spaceship campus being another upcoming signature building, too, not to mention search giant Google making use of a whole lot of glass in order to come up with a “super-transparent” headquarters in Mountain View.
