Another major retailer in the United States has pledged support for Apple Pay, the new payments service that Apple announced late last year, and revealed just yesterday that it’s available at more than 700,000 locations across the country. GameStop is the latest retailer to confirm that it will adopt Apple Pay. It expects to have the payments service up and running in its stores later this month.

GameStop hasn’t said how long it will take for all of its retail stores in the United States to be covered. The retailer has only revealed that starting later this month it is going to cover all of its 4,200-plus retail outlets in the U.S. and tells customers that they should ask store clerks about whether or not Apple Pay is being accepted at that location.

This will certainly go a long way in increasing Apple Pay’s adoption numbers in the country, which are already quite impressive, so far Apple has not said when this service will be launched in other countries around the globe but there are plans to take it beyond U.S. borders.

Following Apple’s event yesterday, global hotel chain Marriott also announced that it will start accepting Apple Pay at its properties, Marriott is starting the roll out off with 11 hotels in various U.S. cities.
