With the popularity of the Halo franchise spanning many years, we’re sure gamers are looking forward to the next installment – Halo 5: Guardians. Turns out that gamers will have to wait a little bit more as the official date has been set for the 27th of October, giving gamers a little over half a year of waiting before they can get their hands on it.

The game was announced early last year and was pegged for a release in the fall of 2015, so safe to say that it looks like things are moving along as scheduled. Previously it had been speculated that Microsoft would choose to release Halo 5: Guardians in November of 2015 as Halo games have typically been released at that time.

However we’re sure that releasing it a few days before November is a good thing, right? At the same time it also means that Microsoft will not have a first-party game for the month of November, leaving some to question as to what game Microsoft could release then, if it isn’t Halo 5.

The game will be an exclusive to the Xbox One platform and is expected to be a much bigger game compared to Halo 4. Fans of the franchise can check out the trailer in the video above.
