htc-t1hEarlier this morning, we did talk about a mystery tablet from HTC that has been rumored to come with an 8.9” display, in addition to a 16MP camera at the back. Unfortunately, that particular model did not come with a name that one would have been able to identify it with. This time around, however, it seems that HTC’s attempt to make their way into the China market will involve a slightly different naming convention, and this tablet could jolly well be known as the T1H. Should it be revealed, it ought to keep company the likes of the rumored HTC One E9 as well as the One E9 Plus, too, later next month, although the venue and exact date remain to be known.

Just to refresh our memories, the HTC T1H, with its alleged live photo as seen on the right, will make it share a very close family resemblance to that of the HTC One M9, except that it is a whole lot larger. This rumor claims that the upcoming device will have dimensions of 228.35mm x 153.67mm x 7.88mm, and your eyes will be treated to a 8.9” QXGA display at 2048 × 1530 pixels resolution.

As mentioned earlier as well, HTC has decided to settle for an Allwinner SoC rather than taking the more conventional route of using a traditional Qualcomm or Mediatek solution. The chip that will be used would be an octa-core Allwinner H8, where it will rely on the new 28mm production process with a PowerVR SGX544 GPU. Only time will be able to tell as to whether the rumors will turn out to be true or otherwise.
