At its Spring Forward event today Apple announced an all new 12-inch MacBook with Retina Display. As expected the company also announced a refresh of the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. These notebooks have only received new internal hardware, everything else about them including their design and price remains the same as before.

The MacBook Airs now have Intel’s new Broadwell processors. 11-inch model has a 1.6GHz dualcore Core i5 processor with Intel HD Graphics 6000, 4GB RAM and a 128GB SSD. It costs $899.

13-inch base model comes with exactly the same internal specifications as its 11-inch counterpart however the company says it has new flash memory that’s twice as fast as its predecessor. It costs $999.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display gets the new Intel processors as well. The new Force Touch trackpad that Apple has introduced with its 12-inch MacBook also finds its way to the Retina MacBook Pro.

Both the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro also receive Thunderbolt 2 ports despite the fact that Apple has thrown it under the bus for its new MacBook, which comes with a single reversible USB Type C connector.

Apple is shipping the refreshed MacBook Airs and the Retina MacBook Pro starting today. They’re immediately available through the online store and should arrive in the company’s retail stores pretty soon.
