xboxonecontrDo you love using your Xbox One controller with your PC? Unfortunately at the moment gamers who choose to use the Xbox One controller while playing games on their computers are required to plug it in. This isn’t really that big of a deal but for gamers who are looking to lose the shackles of the cable, you might be pleased to learn that a wireless dongle is expected to be released later this year.

This was confirmed during Microsoft’s presentation at GDC 2015 in which Xbox head Phil Spencer announced that the company would be releasing a wireless dongle for the PC later in the year. The dongle will basically allow gamers to use wireless Xbox One controllers with their PC, but that’s not all, it also seems that the dongle will allow for the use of other wireless Xbox peripherals together with the PC.

Like we said this probably isn’t that big of a deal to some gamers, but there are gamers who truly value the lack of wires as this helps to declutter the table, not to mention reduces the amount of things one is able to accidentally trip over. Unfortunately Microsoft did not provide attendees at the conference a price or specific release date for this wireless dongle, so we guess we will just have to keep an eye out for it.
