Mortal Kombat X for next-gen consoles and the PC are on track for a release in April, and as you might have heard, there will also be a mobile version of the game (which unfortunately does not sport the same beautiful graphics, but it’s still not too bad). So how will the mobile version of the game be like? Will it be just like every other fighting game for mobile devices out there?

Well thankfully the folks at DroidGamers managed to get their hands on the game at GDC earlier this month and have shared some footage of it, which you can check it out in the video above. From what we can tell the game looks pretty decent. Like we said it does not share the same graphics as the console version, but as far as mobile games are concerned it looks rather nice.

Also, instead of merely incorporating the usual fighting moves and features, the mobile version of Mortal Kombat X has included features that will take advantage of your touchscreen display, such as swiping gestures and tapping on the screen to help augment your moves and to deal more damage to your opponent.

So far it looks pretty fun and we wouldn’t mind getting our hands on it. The game is scheduled for a release alongside Mortal Kombat X for the PS4, Xbox One, and the PC on the 14th of April, so if this looks like a game you’ll want to check out, be sure to mark that date down on your calendar.
