lumia_930_blind_cameraThere is a lot of debate going on as to which smartphone is able to take the best photos, and it looks like in a blind camera test conducted by the folks at PhoneArena, it turns out that the Nokia Lumia 930 took home the prize, beating out the likes of other high-end handsets like the iPhone 6 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in the process.

In some ways this doesn’t come as a surprise because despite Nokia’s handsets not packing the latest or most powerful hardware, its cameras tend to be a force to be reckoned with. Based on the votes of their test, the Lumia 930 came in first with 6,032 votes. This was closely followed by the Galaxy Note 4 with 5,936 votes, and lagging somewhat behind is the iPhone 6 Plus with 4,344 votes.

The distance between the votes shows that the Galaxy Note 4 was almost on par with the Lumia 930, at least as far as users were concerned. Lagging very, very far behind is HTC’s brand new flagship One M9 which came in sixth with only 1,247 votes and was beaten out by the Samsung Galaxy S5 at 3,282 votes and Nexus 6 with 3,965 votes. That certainly does not bode well for HTC!

A sample of the photos they used to compare the cameras with can be seen in the screenshot above. So, what do you guys think? Was the Lumia 930 convincing enough to have taken the crown away from Apple and Samsung? Or do you think that another brand should have won?
