Despite its troubles in the hardware market BlackBerry’s partnership with Porsche Design continues. Both companies team up on smartphones that usually cost a couple of thousand dollars. BlackBerry provides the innards and software while Porsche Design obviously does the design bit. Today they have unveiled another product of their collaboration, called the Porsche Design P’9983 Graphite.

This is a new addition to the P’9983 family. It brings exclusive graphite metallic color elements to the lineup as well as “the finest hand-wrapped leather on the back door cover.”

Since it’s a smartphone from BlackBerry the P’9983 Graphite has a full QWERTY keyboard with what the companies call an “exclusive keypad” that has glass-like keys. The device also has a blackened glass and a graphite stainless steel color frame.

Since this is meant for the rich the device also offers them access to the exclusive Porsche Design PIN ID group, 2AAXXXXX, making owners stand out among people who actually know what a Porsche Design PIN ID group is.

Powered by BlackBerry 10 the smartphone offers all of the features that fans of the company’s devices have come to love on its recent models. The Porsche Design P’9983 Graphite smartphone from BlackBerry will be available from selected carriers and retailers around the world as well as Porsche Design stores for $1,950.
