galaxy-note-4-android-5.0-1

We have good news today for Galaxy Note 4 owners on Sprint. The carrier has started rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Galaxy Note 4 owners on its network. This is the current major update for Google’s mobile platform which brings a plethora of new features and improvements, apart from user interface enhancements. As is the case these days, Sprint is rolling out the update over-the-air.

Those who own a Galaxy Note 4 on Sprint will receive a notification on their devices today notifying them that the update is available for download.

Users who don’t receive the notification, or they just can’t wait for it, can try manually pulling the update as well through the update option in the Settings app. Whether or not that works is another thing. They won’t be able to download the update until it goes live in their region.

Android 5.0 Lollipop brings several new features for the Galaxy Note 4 such as an improved notification experience, guest user mode, Android Smart Lock, multi-user profiles and much more. Material Design brings brighter colors as well as an overall flat and simplified look and feel for the user interface.

Sprint subscribers who have a Galaxy Note 4 should ensure that they are connected to a good Wi-Fi network before downloading the update. There should be a reasonable amount of charge in the battery before proceeding with the installation process.
