battlefrontIt looks as though Star Wars Battlefront is all set to experience an unveiling some time in April over at Star Wars Celebration, which happens to be the semi-annual fan convention, at least according to the folks over at Electronic Arts (EA).

A blog post over on Electronic Arts’ site reads as follows, “We’re thrilled to share that Star Wars Battlefront will be taking part in Star Wars Celebration next month in Anaheim, CA from April 16-19. We could not think of a better or more appropriate place to debut the game officially for the first time than the premier event that celebrates the Star Wars universe and the legions of fans who have fallen in love with it.”

Star Wars Battlefront has been in development at DICE, who happen to be veterans of the Battlefield franchise, not to mention Mirror’s Edge. In October last year, EA did mention that the game is being primed for a holiday release this year, and if EA’s blog post were to be scrutinized deeper, this does seem to sound more of a confirmation to such a pledge. Surely this particular title would gain a fair bit of traction, especially when you take into consideration how the next movie is set to hit the silver screens soon, too. [Press Release]
