It used to be that you would either have to choose technology or fashion, but as the two industries begin to merge, who says that you need to pick either or? For those who carry a bag with them all day and don’t want to have to pack with them chargers, battery packs, cables, and etc., the Leoht Tote might be something you could be interested in.

The bag was announced earlier this year with the promise that it would try to raise funds via Kickstarter, which they are now trying to do with the launch of their Kickstarter project. As a quick recap for those who missed the earlier announcement, the Leoht Tote is a bag that comes with a built-in lithium-ion battery, LED light, two USB ports, and will also support wireless recharging if that’s your thing.

The battery is of the 6,000mAh variety (earlier it was suggested that there might be a 10,000mAh option but it appears that there isn’t) so safe to say that it should be more than enough to charge your phone a couple of times over. The battery will also have a standby time of 30 days so while it will most likely drain slowly over the course of the 30 days, you should still have some battery in case of emergency.

In order to recharge the bag, it can be done so wirelessly when placed on its charging plate so users won’t have to worry about any unsightly ports or holes on the bag. The interior LEDs will also make it easier for the user to look for items in their bag. Now this isn’t the first “smart” bag we’ve seen but it is a nice option for those looking for a bit of variety. If you’re interested in the bag, you can head on over to its Kickstarter page and help fund the project.
