Playing console games on the couch is easy as the controller is a single device and for the most part it is wireless. However playing PC games on the couch might be a bit difficult. The keyboard can always be placed on your lap, but what about your mouse? Playing on your lap would be hard, and putting a mouse pad on your sofa and playing can also be a bit uncomfortable.
This is where the Sofa Surfer comes in. The Sofa Surfer, as you can see in the image above, is something of a hi-tech table for your keyboard and mouse. There’s even an area where you can put your mouse on a solid surface comfortably. So what makes this better than a lap table? For starters it is powered.
It comes with a USB cable that can connect to your PC if you’re gaming from the living room. From there you can connect your keyboard or mouse to the Sofa Surfer and start gaming. It also comes with a lap cushion that will make using it on your lap a comfortable experience. The mouse pad area can also be removed and swapped out if you’re not happy with the surface.
We have to admit it’s an interesting idea but unfortunately it does not look like it’s doing too well on Kickstarter. The creators are shooting for a $24,500 goal but so far it has only managed to raise a little over $1,500 and with 9 days to go, it doesn’t seem like it will make it, but if you’re interested in pledging your support or learning more, head on over to its Kickstarter page for the details.
