There are plenty of distractions around us, especially in front of the computer where we might be tempted to check social media, watch YouTube videos, listen to music, play video games, and more. So much so that it can be detrimental to our activities which we are supposed to be doing, like studying or working.

Now thanks to a Kickstarter campaign, a pair of smartglasses have been developed that aims to help users concentrate on the task at hand. Dubbed the Nabris, the idea is simple – the lenses of the glasses will begin to darken when you start to lose your focus and will clear up and brighten when you begin to focus again. How does this work, you ask?

This is thanks to sensors embedded in the glasses accompanied by a module that you wear on your arm. The sensors will measure your brainwaves and will apparently know when you begin to stray from the task at hand. Ultimately the goal of these glasses is to train your brain to concentrate and allow yourself to focus at will. There will also be an accompanying smartphone app that will come with various training programs.

These programs will allegedly help you deal with concentration, improve creativity, sharpen your motor skills, deal with stress, improve self-confidence, and even help you sleep.
