LG-G2-Unboxing--13

Despite the fact that the LG G2 will soon be two years old it is supported by Google’s latest iteration of Android. The handset has already received the Lollipop update elsewhere and today Verizon is finally pushing it out for its subscribers. Verizon LG G2 Lollipop update has been released today and is gradually making its way to devices across the country.

Verizon LG G2 Lollipop update build VS98039A is a hefty release so be sure to connect your device to a good Wi-Fi network before downloading it. Also keep in mind that the device should have ample charge left in the battery so that it doesn’t die during the installation process.

Since it’s Lollipop the update brings everything that’s promised in Android 5.0. This includes Material Design influenced user interface changes, new features, system tweaks, performance improvements, bug fixes and much more.

Verizon has released this update over-the-air, like every other software update, so expect a notification on your device soon if you own a G2 on Big Red. Those who want to manually pull the update can head on over to the Settings app followed by About Phone and System Updates to check for this release.

It shouldn’t take more than a couple of days for the Verizon LG G2 Lollipop update to go live across all regions.
