zopo-touch[MWC 2015] While the whole world is enamored with all the major brand announcements made over at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, this year, including the Samsung Galaxy S6, what happens when there are other far smaller players in the market that decide to drop a new handset of their very own? This is the case with the Zopo Touch, where it will offer a curved glass form factor that is pleasing to the eye.

I am just like most of you out there – I myself have not heard of the brand Zopo Mobile before, and that is understandable if one were to take into consideration how this company hails from China. Their brand new Zopo Touch or Zopo ZP530 smartphone will come with a 2.5D curved glass display that is not too different from that which is included in the recently announced Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and BlackBerry Slider.

Sporting a chassis that measures 8.8mm thick, the Zopo Toch will feature 9-membrane layers that have been crammed in its back cover. The display belies a metal frame with a fancy micron sand blast and oxidation technology, which makes it not only glossy, but durable as well. Running on Android 4.4 KitKat, the Zopo Touch as a 5” HD display, a 64-bit MediaTek MT6732 SoC that has a 1.5GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory, an 8MP camera at the back, a 5MP front-facing camera, Dual SIM, and a 2,100mAh battery pack. There is no word on pricing or availability just yet.
