Customers waiting for Apple’s first smartwatch will be able to place a pre-order for it just a couple of days from now. The Apple Watch pre-orders go live on April 10th and official release takes place on April 24th. Customers will be able to make reservations for in-store pickup on launch day as well though a new report points out that Apple Watch online reservations will be limited to just one unit per customer.

Usually whenever a new Apple product like an iPhone or iPad is launched customers are able to reserve two units for in-store pickup. Perhaps this just goes to show just how much issues Apple is having with Apple Watch inventory. Rumor has it that production is proving to be difficult which is why launch inventory is very thin.

Apple doesn’t comment on supply chain related rumors so it’s not known for sure whether there are any supply issues with the Apple Watch, which will be released in nine regions on April 24th.

According to a report by Macrumors there is a maximum of one reservation per customer for the Apple Watch and this limit is expected to be enforced across all launch countries which include the United States and the United Kingdom.

Apparently the company did plan to go with the traditional two reservations per customer limit but supply issues forced it to reduce that limit to just one unit.
