avengers hearthstoneWhile in other parts of the world, Marvel’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron has been released and seen by millions, in the US its release is set for the 1st of May, which is only in a few hours. Now we’re sure many of you guys are eager to check it out and it seems so is Blizzard. The developer’s Hearthstone Twitter account has recently posted an image which you can see for yourself in the image above.

Basically this is Blizzard’s take on the poster for The Avengers: Age of Ultron, except that in this case Blizzard has replaced the actors with characters from the Hearthstone/Warcraft universe. For example it is obvious who the abomination in the back is supposed to represent, and so is spider in the front. Captain America’s Hearthstone equivalent is also pretty obvious, and so is Iron Man and Thor, and we can also see a Hawkeye’s equivalent in the image as well with the bow and arrow.

Presumably the large robot looming over them is The Vision, and the little robots are the Ultron clones. Alternatively the big robot could represent Ultron but given that this was meant to mimic the original poster, chances are it could be referring to The Vision instead. Unfortunately Nick Fury, Quicksilver, and the Scarlet Witch aren’t seen in this image, but we reckon it’s still a pretty awesome job all the same. So, who else is excited to catch the movie?
